Alan O'Leary - MD
Alan O’Leary is not only the driving force and Managing Director of Ardmor Hospitality, but a visionary in the South African hospitality industry. Backed by years of development expertise, his reputation precedes him as far as he goes.
He opened the hugely successful Sanctuary House Hotel for the Fullers Group in London, aged only 23, which soon became the fastest growing business for the Group for two consecutive years.
Never one to rest on this laurels, Alan further plied his trade with two additional London properties before finally opening the Chamberlain Hotel in the heart of London’s Financial District in 2001. The hotel opened it’s doors with 64 rooms and sustained an annual occupancy rate of a staggering 83%.
But Alan had his sights set on different horizons. After falling in love with South Africa, he made the country his home in 2002 and took over the reins of Kievits Kroon Country Estate that very same year.
Fifteen years and three significant investment projects to the tune of more than R70 million later, Alan has transformed Kievits Kroon into a destination befit for royalty.
As the figurehead of Ardmor, he has brokered deals which include investment, financing and management of 3 & 4 Star Hotels in South Africa. With market leading year on year growth Ardmor has been creating unparalleled value for it’s partners since inception.
Whilst Covid-19 has reshaped our market for the foreseeable future Ardmor remain optimistic and continues to seek out new opportunities and partners.
